22. Start applying SPF right now!

Surely you’ve been told a million times to wear sunscreen. But if you’re over 40, you need to start getting even more serious about SPF. Maybe you think to yourself, “So what? I already have wrinkles,” but that doesn’t mean the all of the damage is done. If you don’t believe it, look at any two photos of the same woman at the ages of 50 and 80 – big difference. Not to mention, we were all pretty lazy with application when we were younger. Slapping a dollop of sunscreen haphazardly on your face in the morning and moving on isn’t as effective as targeted, conscientious application.
Therefore, it’s time to look for products that protect more than just cheeks, chin, and nose. A good, occlusive eye cream with SPF 15 or higher than prevent crow’s feet from becoming deeper. A lip balm with SPF will do the same for those fine lines that make lipstick bleed outside of the lip line. And don’t forget your neck – you want to avoid getting deep lines there.
