Alta – Alta is a ski resort located in the Salt Lake County, Utah. It is one of oldest ski resorts in North America, opening its first lift back in 1939. Alta is known for its high altitude, which results in having more snow than most other resorts in Utah. Note that this place is one of the three ski resorts in America that still prohibits snowboarders.
