The Winery bar and restaurant is a hot spot for locals and visitors alike. Needless to say there is a wide selection of wines which rather than confusing you with bewildering information they are wines which ‘taste good’ or are ‘unpronounceable whites’ and ‘mysterious reds’ on the list. No one minds if you feel like a beer or a cocktail instead as there are lots of these on offer too. The menu is also organised under key word headings to simplify the decision.
Fairy lights twinkle over the enchanted oasis with its rabbit warren of indoor and outdoor areas. The main bar is on the lower floor which spills out to the garden with flowers, trees, benches, cast iron tables, giving a playful space where you can sip your drink. Take one level up and find the Champagne bar, with its private lounges fitted with plush blue velvet upholstery, chandeliers and music to fit the mood. These private booths have ‘Champagne Bells’ which light up whenever you need a drink refilled, rather than having to catch the waiter’s eye. Three Champagnes are available by the glass otherwise you can pop the corks of luxury Champagne bottles. Bless your poor wallet!
