If you’re a football (soccer) fan, you probably already recognized Pelé. In this photo taken before 1958 World Cup in Sweden, he was just 17-years old. He turned 18 during the competition, Brazil won the cup and Pelé became a global sensation.
This is a photo of a nuclear test performed at Bikini Atoll, one of the atolls in the Marshall Islands. This is just one of the many tests the United States did between 1946 and 1958.
