This photo was taken in 1941, when the Nazi’s “Hunger Plan” was in action. The idea behind this plan was to seize food from the Soviet Union and give it to German soldiers. Million died from starvation because of it. In this photo, a German soldier is seen sharing some of his food with a hungry Russian woman and her child.
