Blyde River Canyon – Although it’s not the largest, Blyde River Canyon is definitely the most impressive canyon in Africa. It is a combination of unique terrain covered by subtropical foliage that gives it a very beautiful appearance. It is riddled with waterfalls, and is home to a number of primate species, as well as crocodiles and hippos. Hiking through the Blyde River Canyon is a great way to experience the “greener” part of South African nature.
