12. Daenerys and Arya Have Started a Trend
Two of the leading female roles are yet to meet in the show but they do have something in common. In 2016 it was announced that Arya had reached the top 25 most popular girls names in the US. Daenerys also made it’s debut in the top 100.
Perhaps we are being a little sceptic here, but let’s just hope their characters continue to develop as strong, female leads we would be proud to name our daughters after (and don’t gather any negative connotations). Can you imagine, for instance, how parents might regret using the name Theon, when a season later, he was iconically disfigured. Jus’ sayin’!
