Lake Retba, Senegal – Lake Retba, or simply Pink Lake, is founds 30 km north-east of the capital of Senegal – Dakar. The reason why this lake has such a unique color is due to certain algae that are present in the waters of it. It is currently under consideration to be a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
